Orthodoxy in Dallas and beyond

Two excellent articles were published recently in the Dallas Morning News regarding the growing trend of Protestant Christians being drawn to the timeless authenticity of the Orthodox faith. To summarize would not do them justice, and posting them here would likely be some sort of copyright infringement, so please check them out at www.dallasnews.com

I would welcome any comments, questions, or requests for more material.

I can't access the articles. I gotta be a member or something like that. Anyway, I don't know much about the Orthodox faith so I guess I'll do a general search on the net to get a general idea. I've been sorta exploring my religion, Catholicism. I want to know more about it; actually I want answers to questions that probably can't be answered directly. I've been reading about Sylvia Browne, the psychic, and her views on God and stuff like that. She's the founder of a spiritual group: Society of Novus Spiritus. Ever heard of any of this?

Sorry the link doesn't work, but it's well worth the time it takes to register as a user so you can read the articles, especially if you have questions that Catholicism isn't answering for you. There is also a link (that does work) on my blog to the Orthodox Church in America's website, which has more information on Orthodoxy and its teachings. I have never heard of the group you mentioned, but I would caution you to be skeptical of the source. That's what is drawing so many people to the Orthodox Church--the source is Christ himself, and the "founder" is the Holy Spirit. In their search for the original Christian faith, many people are finding that it still exists in its fullness within the Orthodox Church.
If I seem overzealous, it's just because I want to share this with everyone I know, especially those who are already asking the questions. For so many years I struggled with questions that seemed to have no answers, aspects of my faith that just didn't seem right or complete. The Orthodox Church doesn't have all the answers, because so much about God is beyond our comprehension, but everything that God has revealed about Himself througout history becomes clear within Orthodoxy--because it is the living history of love for us. I really encourage you to look into it more, and feel free to ask me any other questions.
