The meaning of this blog's title is two-fold: (1) this is a space where I write about my beliefs, ideas, and experiences, and (2) all my beliefs are affected by my faith in Christ within the Orthodox Church, ortho meaning right or true and dox meaning worship or belief. No matter how trivial the topic, I hope my words always reflect this perspective.

since you bring up Stewie... I shall have to DESTROY you! just kidding. I mean, I suppose that Matt Groening of Simpsons notoriety (perfect word for these hellions of animation) would have to make any short list, although I'm often bothered by their use of Christianity as an easy target. but I guess that goes for most comedians. If only so many Christians didn't validate all the misconceptions and stereotypes.
By the way, I think I'm starting a new workout program. All you have to do is listen to "The Worst of Opie & Anthony." The ab workout is second to none.

I won't even touch that top-five list, G. But I will add, in no particular order, the following funny people I also enjoy:
Wanda Sykes
Bill Maher
Tina Fey
Darrell Hammond
Steve Martin
Stewie Griffin (of Family Guy notoriety)
George Carlin
Jimmy Fallon

You need to add Mr. Colbeagle to this list, you know.
I don't even care if I'm writing on a "dead" blog ...
Anthony Cumia
"Little" Jimmy Norton
definitely deserve to be on this list. There. I've said it.
Hmm ... perhaps we should expand the list to a Top Ten, in which case I nominate the following:
Stephen Colbert
Anthony Cumia
James Nawtun
Patrice O'Neal
and I leave the last spot to you.
I probably wouldn't put Patrice on my list, but as far as people I'd add ...
Hmmm.
Kathy Griffin?
Carol Burnett?
Stalker Patty?
I think my vote goes to Carol. You can't beat a classy dame like that.
Oh, c'mon! You don't think Patrice is funnier than Kathy Griffin? I think you're just trying to get a Griffin on this list.
I agree that Ms. Burnett is classic classy comedy, and this list does need some female representation. I thought Patrice would be enough, but oh no.
I think it's a different kind of humor. I don't think Kathy is the best female comedian, but she certainly makes me laugh.
I'm still going with Carol. Bonus points for being an all-around entertainer.

Carol's a good choice, to be sure. Did you ever see that movie I wrote about, Noises Off? If not, queue it up, bebe! ; )
And as for the ab routine, I think that may be the closest we ever come to exercising together.
